KIDS TRACK 2015 to promote the budding talents of preprimary section was conducted at St George's
LPS & UPS, Pazhangad on 26th Sept 2015. Mela was inaugurated by Mr Eudric Pereira, Indian Basket
Ball Player. Hundreds of students from the schools of Alleppey and Ernakulam districts

Std VIII - 10th October 2015, Saturday : The session begins at 10.00 and concludes at 12.30
p.m. All the students are requested to report at Catholic Centre, Thoppumpady on time.
Std IX- 24th October 2015, Saturday : Full day class room and lab session on Physics.
Students are requested to report at St Sebastian's HSS, Thoppumpady at 10.00 a.m. with lunch and
the session will conclude at 4.00 p.m.
Std X : Residential camp from 23rd to 25th October 2015 at Alpha Pastoral Centre, Edakochi. Students are requested to report at Alpha Pastoral Centre on 23rd October at 9.30 a.m. Camp will

Ruchi Bhakshya mela 2015 at St Peter's HSS, Kumbalanghy
'Ruchi', a gourmet tribute to encourage traditional recipe from the region has been conducted successfully by "Vidyarangam Kala Sahitya Vedi" at St Peter's HSS, Kumbalanghy to substantiate the academic curriculum of standard XI students. Lot of students

Crowning Ceremony of Cochin Olympiad is scheduled for 10th May 2015, Sunday at 3.00 p.m
at Catholic Centre, Thoppumpady. All the students of VIII and XI stds desiring to
continue in the project have to remit the fee before 28th March 2015. The winners of
scholarship will be selected from those who continue in the project and their names
will be announced on 10th May 2015 during the ceremony. Kindly note the following

As announced earlier, residential camp on Motivation for the second batch (std VIII) of Cochin Olympiad is from 8th to 10th May 2015 at Alpha Pastoral Centre,
Edakochi. All the students who have paid the fee are requested to report at Pastoral Centre, Edakochi on 8th May Friday at 9.30 a.m. Students together with note book and pen have to bring necessary items for the stay at Edakochi. Besides there will be a session for the parents of the students who participate in the camp. So the
parents of the students are requested to report at Pastoral centre, on 10th May Sunday at 11.45.a.m. Soon after the session and the lunch all are to move to Catholic Centre, Thoppumpady for the Crowning Day Ceremonies. |

Annual Day Celebrations at St. Louis HS, Mundamveli
Talented young boys and girls of St Louis HS Mundamveli had out-performed on the
Annual Day Celebrations 2015. The highlight of the event was the heart-felt farewell given by students to their beloved Head Master Sri. Camelius Antony who had been serving the institution for several years in glorified colours. Cochin Olympiad - kind attention of the students
All the students of Cochin Olympiad are requested to take notice of the following details:
Second Year (IX Std) : As announced earlier the residential camp will be from 10th to 12th October
2014 at Kottayam. Bus will depart from St Sebastian's High School Ground at 7.30 a.m on Friday. Students are
asked to contact Fr Francis Kurisinkal for further information.
First Year (VIII std) : Since some of the students have got class on 11th October for the National
Merit Cum Means Scholarship Examination, the session of cochin Olympiad scheduled for 11th October is
postponed to another date and it will be notified later. |
Cochin Olympiad - Residential camp
Residential camp for the First batch (IX std) will be held from 10th to 12th October at Vimalagiri Pastoral Centre, Kottayam. Dr Rafeeque (Engg College, Trivandrum) will guide the camp. Other details will be given later. Please note that on 12th October there is the Catechism examination. Students are directed to contact their parish priests for alternate arrangement of the Exam. |
Cochin Olympiad - Visit to ISRO postponed
ince some of the students have got examination on the scheduled date of the Visit to ISRO ( ie 17th September), the programme is postponed to another date which will be informed later. The next programme of the second year students will be the residential camp. |

Preliminary Exam 2014 of Cochin Olympiad will be conducted on Saturday 8th February 2014 at 9.00 a.m. The examination centres are St John De Britto AIHS Fortkochi, St Louis' HS Mundamvely, St Mary's HS Chellanam, St Sebastian's HS Thoppumpady, St Peter's HSS Kumbalanghy, St Augustine's HSS Aroor and St George's HS Thankey. The students can get the Hall Tickets

Foundation stone laid at St Louis' HS, Mundamvely
St. Louis' HS Mundamvely is approaching 125th Anniversary of its foundation. To commemorate and celebrate the event, the parish of St. Louis' Mundamvely together with the former students have decided to construct a new building for the school. Higher Education fund started
The Diocese of Cochin started Higher Education Fund with the view to support the students of coastal and village areas. Higher Education becoming more and more expensive and is beyond the
reach of students hailing from poor financial background. As a result smart and intelligent students are compelled to leave the studies and go after traditional jobs. The quality of the
community is not developing. The fund aims to remedy the situation. We want that higher education become possible to each and every member of the community, there be at least one member in every family who have completed the higher education. The inauguration of the fund was done at St Louis' Church, Mundamvely by His Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Kariyil, the Bishop

History-making victory for the Corporate Educational Agency
Since the formation of the Corporate Educational Agency of the Diocese in 1981, this academic year the diocesan schools made
great performance by obtaining an outstanding victory in the S.S L.C Examination conducted by the Educational Dept of the
state. While all the schools scored high percentage of result, three schools of the Diocese obtained 100% success in the
S.S.L.C Examination.

KIDS TRACK 2012, the first Sports Meet of the Preprimary students was conducted at St Peter’s HSS, Kumbalanghy. Nearly 600
students participated in the Meet. St Sebastian’s LPS, Palluruthy won the championship Trophy in the LKG section. St
Augustine’s LPS, Aroor got the second place. St Mary’s LPS Chellanam bagged the championship in the UKG section. VVLPS
Palluruthy and St Augustine’s LPS Aroor shared the second place in the UKG section.

St Francis Xavier’s LPS – Champions of the Science Fair
St Francis Xavier’s LPS, Eramalloor obtained the Championship Trophy in the Science Fair conducted at Thuravoor sub-district. The school came in the first place in Work Experience and Science Fair. The overall performance of the school in Maths Fair and Social Science Fair were also taken into consideration and consequently the championship Trophy was awarded to the School. Besides being the champion in the Lower Primary section, the school also won the Championship in Work Experience in the Upper Primary section.

Maharajas College Ground, Ernakulam witnessed the crowning of St Sebastian’s HSS, Thoppumpady in the Sports Meet held at

The First Sports Meet of the preprimary section under the Corporate Educational Agency, Diocese of Cochin is scheduled for
10th November 2012 at St Peter’s HSS, Kumbalanghy. Nearly 600 kiddies from different schools of the districts of Ernakulam
and Alleppey will compete in the following items:
LKG: 50mts, 4×50mts shuttle relay, Ball passing, In the Pond
on the Bank, Bombing the city, Baloon bursting and Standing broad Jump
UKG: 50mts,4×50mts,Standing broad jump, Bun
bitting, Ball throw,Roll goal and Lemon collection.
Besides, Cross country race, cycling, various items for the
teachers of the preprimary section are also in the schedule. Msgr. Peter Thaikoottathil will preside over the inaugural
ceremony. Kids Track will be inaugurated by Prof. Tony Daniel(Technical Committee Member IAA). Dignitaries from the fields
of politics and sports will grace the occasion with their presence. |

St. Peter’s Higher Secondary School the Over-all Champion in Mattanchery sub-district
St. Peter’s Higher Secondary School, Kumbalanghy secured the Over-all Championship in Mattanchery sub-district in Work
Experience and Exhibition held as part of “Sasthrolsavam-2011â€. The second place was secured by Santa Cruz Higher Secondary
School, Fort Kochi.

Foundation stone laid for the “Christmas Giftâ€
Catholic Teachers’ Guild (Diocese of Cochin) prepares a meaningful Christmas Gift to the
marginalised of the society. Hundreds of poor people sheltered in the Settlement (under the
Corporation of Cochin) urgently needs a hall to dine (at present they eat sitting under the
trees, disturbed by dogs and birds. How sad!). In this blessed occasion of recalling the
memory of the birth of Jesus Christ, The LIVING BREAD, Catholic Teachers’ Guild of the
Diocese of Cochin has decided to construct a dining hall for the poor people. The
foundation stone blessed by Rev Fr Alex Kannikatt was laid on 24th Nov.2011 by Mr Tony
Chammini, Worshipful Mayor of Cochin and Mr Antony Polassery, President of the Guild.

St. Peter’s L.P.S – Great Performance in Youth Festival at Mattanchery Sub-district
St. Peter’s Lower Primary school, Kumbalanghy stepped up in the Youth Festival at Mattanchery.
Sub-district winning second place. The school scored 43 points in the Fest.

St. Sebastian’s H.S.S Palluruthy – Over-all Champions of the Sports Meet at Mattanchery Sub-district
St. Sebastian’s Higher Secondary School bagged the Over-all Championship (U.P, H.S, H.S.S) of the
Sports Meet conducted at Maharajas’ Ground Ernakulam at the Sub-district level. The Champions
secured 232 points.

St. Sebastian’s HSS - Champions of the Exhibition
An outstanding performance by the Diocesan schools in the Science-Maths-Social Science – Work Experience and IT Exhibition at
Mattanchery Sub-District. Hundreds of schools participated in the Exhibition. St Sebastian’s Higher Secondary school
Palluruthy won the Championship trophy of the Exhibition. St Peter’s HSS, Kumbalanghy secured the championship in the Work
Experience. In the Lower Primary section, St Peter’s Kumbalanghy besides being the champions of the Social science
Exhibition, secured also second prize in Maths and Work Experience.

St Mary’s LPS, Chellanam - Champions of the Athletic Meet
Parade Ground, Fort Kochi witnessed the crowning of the lower primary schools of the Diocese in the Athletic Meet (Lower Primary section) held at the Sub-District level. Hundreds of students from 36 schools of the Sub-district participated in the Meet. St Mary’s Lower Primary school, Chellanam bagged the championship trophy with 72 points. St Sebastian’s Lower primary school, Palluruthy arrived at the second position and the third was shared by St Peter’s Lower primary school, Kumbalanghy and St Antony’s Lower Primary school, Kannamaly.

Mattanchery Sub-District Youth Festival in St Peter’s HSS, Kumbalanghy (8th to 11th November 2011)
Colourful days and sleepless nights for Kumbalanghy, the model tourism Village. St Peter’s Higher Secondary school is the
main host of Mattanchery sub-district youth festival together with Illikal Lower Primary school. Thousands of students from
99 schools of the sub-district participate in this Talent Hunt. Honourable Ministers from the Central and State cabinets,
other prominent personalities from the fields of Education, Politics, Culture etc will felicitate the students.

A rich harvest at St Joseph’s LPS, North Kumbalanghy
The staff, students and parents joined their hands to promote agriculture that is
dying in the village. The crops sown in the school compound by the staff and
students yielded a rich harvest and was reaped in collaboration with the civil
authorities. The initiative undertaken by the school was highly appreciated by

KID'S TIDINGS 2011 Successfully Conducted
KIDS TIDINGS 2011 organised by the Corporate Educational Agency, Diocese of cochin was successfully conducted at St Mary’s
Lower Primary School, N.Edakochi on 22nd October 2011. Hundreds of budding stars from the pre-primary schools of Alleppey and
Ernakulam districts participated in the Fest. A galaxy of dignitaries witnessed and encouraged the performances of the
kiddies.

Corporate Educational Agency has organized KIDS’ TIDINGS 2011 at St Mary’s Lower
Primary School, N.Edakochi on 22nd October 2011. Hundreds of Kiddies from the
pre-primary schools of Alleppey and Ernakulam districts will participate in the
programme and will compete in Story telling (Malayalam and English), Fancy dress,
Folk dance, Memory test, Nursery Rhyms, Smiling, Drawing etc...
