The Diocese of Cochin started Higher Education Fund with the view to support the students of coastal and village areas. Higher Education becoming more and more expensive and is beyond the reach of students hailing from poor financial background. As a result smart and intelligent students are compelled to leave the studies and go after traditional jobs. The quality of the community is not developing. The fund aims to remedy the situation. We want that higher education become possible to each and every member of the community, there be at least one member in every family who have completed the higher education. The inauguration of the fund was done at St Louis' Church, Mundamvely by His Excellency Rt Rev Dr Joseph Kariyil, Bishop of Cochin. The fund wants to create and cultivate a culture of investment against the culture of celebration. All people of good will are welcome to support the fund.
